Training to become an automotive mechatronics engineer is dual and lasts three and a half years. The theoretical part takes place at a vocational school, while the practical part takes place at your training workshop.

Final Exam

Before the end of the second year of training, the first part of the final exam or interim exam will be conducted. At the end of the three-and-a-half-year training period, there will be a second part of the final exam.

Second year of training:

• Automotive Service Technician: You can start additional training to become an automotive service technician in the final year of training or immediately after completing your training.
