2. Training Process for Automotive Technology in Germany
Learning German
The requirement to participate in the Vocational Study Program in Automotive Technology in Germany is that you must have a B1 German language certificate. Therefore, while in Vietnam, you need to attend German language classes to obtain the B1 certificate to be eligible for studying abroad. After successfully arriving in Germany, you must continue with a training course to obtain a B2 German certificate. Depending on your German language proficiency, this learning period will last between 3 to 6 months.
Vocational Training
This is the most significant part of the students’ time. Typically, the training program consists of 40% theory and 60% practical work. Depending on the training institution, the vocational training in automotive technology will take about 2.5 to 3 years.
Graduation Exam
After completing all training programs, students must take the graduation exam in German. If successful, you will be awarded a German vocational diploma in automotive technology by the German government. If you fail the exam, you will need to retake the training and participate in the next exam period.
